Data collected through the contact form
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, message and confirmation that you have read this privacy notice. Technical information such as your IP address, browser and request logs may also be processed by the website host for operation and security.
Why we use this data
- to reply to your request about a product, motorcycle fitment, custom part or workshop project;
- to prepare or follow up a potential commercial relationship;
- to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website;
- to understand website traffic and improve the site through audience measurement tools.
The contact form is processed on the basis of your consent and, where applicable, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Essential security and technical logs are processed for our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Audience measurement requiring consent is based on that consent.
Who receives the data
Contact messages are accessible only to Lord Motor Customs and the technical providers needed to operate the service. The website is hosted by Hostinger. Messages are sent to the current site mailbox operated through Google Gmail. These providers may process the technical or message data needed to provide hosting and email delivery.
The Hostinger Reach plugin is installed on the site but is currently not connected. The contact form’s name and email data are therefore not currently transmitted to Hostinger Reach. This notice must be updated before that service is connected or used.
Live chat (tawk.to)
Lord Motor Customs uses tawk.to to provide live human chat and respond to visitors’ and customers’ requests. Chat messages are processed for this purpose. Your name or email address may be requested only where necessary to respond to your request or contact you when we are unavailable.
tawk.to acts as a service provider processing the technical data needed to operate the chat, such as device and browser information. The service may involve international data transfers under the safeguards made available by tawk.to. Lord Motor Customs does not use chat data for automated marketing without your consent.
Analytics, maps and external services
The site currently uses Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to measure visits and interactions. Google may receive information such as pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location derived from the IP address, and online identifiers according to the site’s analytics configuration.
The Contact page includes an embedded Google Map. Loading or interacting with the map may allow Google to receive technical and usage data.
Links to Etsy, WhatsApp and social networks take you to services operated by third parties. Lord Motor Customs does not send your contact-form message to those services merely because the links are displayed. If you choose to follow a link or contact us through one of those services, its own privacy terms apply. Orders and payments are not processed on this website; purchases are completed on Etsy under Etsy’s own privacy terms.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards they make available for international transfers.
How long we keep contact requests
Commercial enquiries and related correspondence are kept for up to three years from collection or from the last contact with the prospect, unless a longer period is required by law or is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Technical and analytics data follow the retention settings of the relevant service.
Chat conversations not related to an order are kept for a maximum of 12 months after the last exchange, unless a longer period is necessary for an order, a dispute or a legal obligation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise these rights, email contact@lordmotorcustoms.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
